Coco Story is an interactive storytelling app for children. In the current version, we do not require creating a child account or signing in.
What data we process
- Content selected in the app (for example: story choices and generated segment text).
- Technical data needed to run the API (for example: response-time metrics, call counts, and errors).
- Local data stored on the user's device (LocalStorage/IndexedDB) for cache and story resume.
How we use data
- Generate stories, choices, and images.
- Generate TTS audio.
- Improve performance and stability (cache and debug metrics).
Third-party providers
- OpenAI: story generation and TTS (depending on configuration).
- Google Gemini: image generation (depending on configuration).
- ElevenLabs: TTS generation (depending on configuration).
- Render: backend and website hosting.
International transfers
Some providers may process data outside your country (including outside the EEA), according to their own infrastructure and legal terms.
Local data on device
The app stores local data such as story progress, UI preferences, and audio/image cache. This data is used only to improve app behavior and can be removed by clearing browser/app data.
Retention
- Local cache data remains on the device until the user clears app/browser data.
- Operational metrics in our backend are used for reliability and are not designed to identify a child.
- Third-party providers may retain request logs under their own policies.
Children's data
The app is designed for children, but it does not require creating a child account. Parents/guardians are encouraged to use the app together with children.
Your rights
